A Taste of Greece, In Honor of Helen






We were truly honored to cater a memorial reception for Helen Litras — a beloved member of our community whose life was celebrated with warmth, laughter, and a beautiful afternoon at the main pavilion at Fox Lake Park.
To honor Helen’s Greek heritage and vibrant spirit, her family asked for a menu inspired by Mediterranean flavors. So, we added a Honeysuckle twist to some familiar favorites. Our crispy fried potatoes were baked with rosemary, fresh lemon, and a generous crumble of feta — and let us tell you, they didn’t last long.
We also served a refreshing Greek salad, slow-roasted beef at a carving station with our creamy house horseradish, and a perfectly baked Mahi that brought bright, coastal flavor to the table. One extra-special touch? Our warm baked brie — lovingly included because it was one of Helen’s all-time favorites.
Around 100 guests gathered to share memories, stories, and a meal that celebrated Helen’s life and legacy. It was a heartfelt day — and we were grateful to play a small part in it.
